JAMMIN’ for JOHNNY! A CELEBRATION DEDICATED to the MUSICAL GENIUS of JOHN DAWSON WINTER III Hello everyone. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to ALL of you, for your amazing support and contributions to this group. I am truly HUMBLED when I review the massive amounts of pictures, videos, stories, and art; all of which are centered around Johnny Winter and his amazingly unique musical genius. As you all know, the “guidelines” of this group are pretty simple… all posts MUST be DIRECTLY RELATED TO JOHNNY WINTER. We do not tolerate any COMMERCIALIZED crap in our group… (“Spammin’ Bastards” don’t stand a chance on this site. We not only DELETE… we BAN FOR LIFE! LOOOOOOL!!!) The HARDEST part of being the administrator however, is removing videos of our musically talented members, playing their own ‘stuff’ or covering a ‘Johnny’ tune. Had I allowed these types of posts in the past, the site would have lost its focus on JOHNNY and HIS music. (If you want to promote your own music… well… start your own group! After-all… think of how many years Johnny played before we allowed HIS posts on here!!! Ha ha ha! ;) Which brings me to the very reason for this post. JAMMIN’ for JOHNNY! To demonstrate his MUSIC and SPIRIT is “STILL ALIVE AND WELL”, I thought it fitting to celebrate by loosening the rules a little, and allowing the musicians here among us to post videos of themselves and/or their bands performing one of Johnny’s tunes… or if they prefer.. one of their very own ORIGINALS! THAT’S RIGHT… SHOW US YOUR STUFF!!! Whether you play professionally, or whether you play like shit (or worse… like me!!!), please post your STUFF! Whether you and/or your crew are fully slammed with gig-shit, or you just jam with a kazoo and spoons… I don’t care… you’re welcome to post. Even if you can’t play… but prefer to just sing or whistle… it’s all good. No judging involved. Just a form of expression. Help celebrate the LIFE of a TRUE LEGEND!
