JAMMU AND KASHMIR PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION Resham Garh Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu (jkpsc.nic.in) Notice Dated: 26 -11- 2014 Whereas, the Forest Department vide their communication No. FST/Coord/44/2010 dated 10.03.2014 referred three (3) posts of Scientific Assistant in Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing Department to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission for filling up from amongst the eligible/ suitable candidates; and whereas, the breakup of the above said posts as conveyed by the said Department is given as under:- Name of the Discipline OM RBA SC Total Scientific Assistant 01 01 01 03 whereas, in pursuance of the reference of vacancies by the Forest Department, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission vide Notification No. 14-PSC (DR-P) of 2014 dated 20.06.2014 invited applications on prescribed format from the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir possessing the prescribed qualification, age; and whereas, in response to the above said notification, the Commission received 207 application forms for these posts; Whereas, it is not convenient or expedient for the Commission to interview all the candidates; and whereas, in terms of rule 40 of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission( Business & Procedure) Rules,1980, only five candidates are to be shortlisted on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification ( weight- age to be given to higher qualification), and whereas, these applications were scrutinized. M.Sc Degree The above shortlisted candidates are advised to submit their deficient documents shown against their name in the Office of Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, Reshamghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu/ Solina, Srinagar within ten (10) days i.e. on or before 05.12.2014from the date of issuance of this notice, failing which their candidature shall be rejected without any further notice. Further, one candidate namely Ms. Divya Khajuria (OM) does not possess the prescribed qualification notified in the notification, as such, her candidature is hereby rejected. The candidates who did not make the grade may represent before the Commission within 10 (ten) days positively with the documents in support of their claim, if any, of being eligible for the post.
