JANE NICOLE DALY HELLER February 27, 1964 - July 21, 2014 After fiercely fighting cancer for 18 months, Jane passed away in the early hours, July 21, 2014 at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal. Jane’s vibrancy, sensitivity and amazing ability to look for and find beauty in everything that surrounded her was reflected not only in how she lived her life but also in the legacy of her photography. Jane found herself first as an artist and then again and most completely as a mother to her beloved daughter Béa, the centre of her life and the adored (albeit sometimes reluctant!) subject of thousands of passionately loving portraits. Jane is survived by her mother, Susan, her brothers and their partners, Richard (and Lisa), Andrew (and Mayela) and her cherished nephews and niece, Willem, Sophie, Janek, Kurt, Justin, Brandon and Lucca. Jane will be missed by so many; there isn’t a person who met her who wasn’t left with a lasting impression of her smile, her laughter, her generosity and her sense of fairness. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on August 2nd at Roxham Farm, the family home of her mother and late father, Hugh Heller. In lieu of flowers, donations to a trust fund to be set up for Béa would be thankfully received.
