JANUARY 23 THE LAND ON WHICH YOU LAY – PART 1 “And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.”- Gen. 28:11 Read also: Gen. 28:10-13 In this context, the land on which you lay refers to your present situation/condition. God can change any situation/condition, no matter how difficult it looks; God can turn around any condition to become a sweet testimony. As far as God is concerned when Jacob ran from the threat of his brother at home and lied destitute at a lonely place to sleep he was actually lying on his Bethel (house of God). Certain happenings orchestrated by the devil against your life, is done to fulfil God’s promises concerning your life. E.g. Joseph was sold out as a slave but God in His mercies turned things around to his favour and he became a prime minister in Egypt. (See Ps. 105:17, Gen. 37 – Gen. 45). Most times in life, where you feel you are going is not where God is taking you to and when troubles pursue you, often it is to your fulfilment rather than your destruction. What seems like a transit location may eventually be your promised land. PRAYER POINTS Lord intervene and grant me favour in this situation. I shall not miss out of your goodness in Jesus name. Father at this transit location; let all things work together for my good in Jesus name. Lord, let your presence dwell with me through every step I take in Jesus name. My Father, My Father all you have purposed to do for me in this situation/land on which I lie, shall not elude me in Jesus name.
