Babylon agweee!!Paul Mphwiyo was allegedly appointed as Budget Director to raise a total of MK 10 billion kwacha to bankroll PP’s campaign. It was agreed that a total of MK 300 million would be given to JB every week. People involved included Ephraim Chibvundo, PP Director of International Relations. Chibvundo in turn convinced Lawrence Mpofu, Special Assistant to JB on Youth, Joseph Aironi Director of the National Intelligence Service. Aironi convinced Sam Madula who is married to Justice Richard Banda (Retired) niece, Charity Banda, the daughter of the late Rev Pat Banda. JB agreed to the idea to raise a weekly sum of MK 300 million per week for the party’s 2014 campign. Mphwiyo used the Ministry of Climate Change account as a conduit for transferring the money. He also convinced Sithole and Max Namata formerly accountant with Ministry of Lands but currently interdicted to help because both are experts at fiddling with IFMIS. Namata is married to Alice Kaluwile, daughter to JB’s advisor on Agriculture. Last week Alice Kaluwile Namata was arrested by the ACB for allegedly pocketing MK 75 million suspected to have come from this weekly amount given to JB. Mphwiyo allegedly liaised with Charles Chuka Governor of the Reserve Bank so that large amounts could be deposited into Pika Namondo’s account. Pika formerly worked for Parliament as an Internal Auditor and is currently on interdiction. Everytime, a cheque was issued, money would be collected from the Reserve Bank. Half was sent to State House through Joseph Aironi or Sam Madula. Madula has a pending case for having depleted the Pensions Fund. In 2008 he built a mansion next to Wamkulu Palace in Area 12. They suggested that the money be delivered directly to JB by Chuka or Joseph Aironi. Mphwiyo realising kuti game yagona started sending false SMSes to himself pretending that some influential people were threatening him and he showed these false text messages kwa JB. JB afraid of the consequences if the matter got into the hands of media called both Mpwiyo and Kasambara to resolve their differences amicably. This failed and there were several attempts to break into Mphwiyo’s house by a hired gang believed to have been sent by Makande. Sithole had 95 million stolen from his house after his servant alerted the police of vulgar displays of cash. The revelations led to the Army Commander presenting an inteliigence report to JB written by Colonel Mbiti of Army Intelligence on the matter.
