JCB’s Indian arm plans to open up new export markets .......................................................................................................... MUMBAI: With infrastructure development in the country moving at a snails pace, the UK-based JCBs Indian subsidiary has increased focus on the overseas markets. The subsidiary, Indias largest construction equipment maker, expects the Indian market to decline by double digits for the third consecutive year in 2013. JCB, which generates Rs 6,000 crore revenues in India, is however going ahead with its investment plan of Rs 500 crore. The construction equipment maker is trying to de-risk business by opening up new exports market for back-hoe-loaders and excavators in South East Asia, Middle East and Africa and also ship key components to the headquarters and benefit from rupee depreciation.
