JEREMIAH BANSAH & JAMES S LAROCHE, I dont doubt that you understand exactly what I mean in my previous post but decided to discuss and prove me wrong. This is too long for a comment post so I tag you, you may not bother to respond here and thats your prerogative. We have been chosen by God to be His people.and the work of each calling is for the building up of the body of Christ, and the body grows by salvation. And so, the end goal of everything we do is to bring people the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus and to see them come to faith in Him. We are called to be servants, all of us are called to be that, to serve the church or the nation as wide, all to the glory of God. For sure, all of us are called to servanthood, under the wing of apostleship, discipleship, whatever they are termed these days. It is very helpful if you try to study the verse you want to quote and explore it a bit so you can shed more light about it. The only reason why the church is still remain today is so that we can do the work of the Great Commission, over all, there is only one purpose and that purpose is achieved by employing different giftings and talents. EVERY BELIEVER IS CALLED. The work is not confined to a particular position, or it is saying that-- WE - WHO DOES NOT HAVE TITLES ARE EXEMPTED TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL. All believers are assigned to lead, simply means, we are to seek to influence the thoughts and behaviour, beliefs and values of another person, attempting to make a difference in the lives of those around us. Christian leadership must not mean someone who hold a position of authority and power, then every Christian is not a leader. Jude 1v12&13 -- mentioned about those leaders, false leaders, who called themselves apostles, etc as those who:-—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. We must not focus on ministry titles, because even the false teachers do the same. They take a scripture to defend their own purpose but has no ground, no capacity of expositing such scripture in proper perspective. One thing for sure, we, EVERY CHRISTIAN is called to a MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION, with the objective of not only advancing the Kingdom but of reconciling sinners to the Saviour. Many who hold titles today are the ones who are inciting division and confusion in the church. Thus they are NOT TRULY called (as they presumed to) because if you are specifically called to a specific position you have to fulfill the objectives and purpose and if you have nothing to show of it, you have really missed it. WE ARE CALLED TO SERVE GOD AND HIS PURPOSES, NOT ABOUT US BEING A PROPHET OR APOSTLE, ETC -- IT IS ALL ABOUT RESPONDING TO THAT CALL IN A SUBMISSIVE, REVERENT WAY AND OBEY AND SHOW FORTH FRUITS! WE, CALLED TO BE AMBASSADORS 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 says:- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. WE ARE THEREFORE CHRISTS AMBASSADORS, as though God were making his appeal through us... LikeLike · · Share
