JESUS COLOSSIANS 1:18-20 He is preeminent over everything in the church. Churches are prone to market itself like businesses. It is a dangerous thing to love your church because of its programs. I have been offered positions with organizations to design programs. I have done my share, but regardless of the program, it has a shelf life. Jesus however is the same yesterday, today and forever. The best program a church can have is a burning passion to know Jesus Christ, and for others to know Him. Thats the program. Jesus is always pleasing the Father. God is pleased with churches who make Jesus its program. I love the concept that God is pleased not in the latest program but in Jesus. It makes our life easier when we think of only pleasing Him. Peace comes through the atonement of Jesus, through His blood. If we ever lose that one principle we are doomed. Thats why the new marketing strategy is growing in churches. A self-help gospel designed to make us all feel better about ourselves. It is all about Jesus. This Sunday morning we will learn more about Jesus, join us. Preacher
