JESUS IS OUR COMPANION. A very comforting passage I love so much has startled me this morning by the revelation of its beneficiaries and its true meaning. John 14:18; I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Here, Jesus is teaching that if our lives are pleasing to Him, He will not leave us to struggle on our own strength but His strength, which is His Spirit. Jesus taught us to live by His examples. So lets see what He said in John 8:29; The one who sent Me is with me; He has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases Him. God the Father did not leave His Son, Jesus Christ, as human on earth alone because Jesus did what was pleasing to The Father. Therefore, Jesus will never leave those whose lives are pleasing to Him alone as orphans but will come to live with them also, the same way God The Father lived with Him. In verse 31 of John 8, Jesus says; If you hold on to my teaching, you are REALLY My disciples. Let us therefore as obedient servants, hold on to His teachings: Repent of our sins, embrace righteousness and holiness as best we could by loving one another as taught by Jesus and surely, He will never leave us alone as orphans but will come to us. He is faithful to His promises so let us be sincere in our love to experience His presence always without fail. Please Lord we need You, so come to us and let Your Holy Spirit empower us to live a life pleasing to you, in Jesus name, amen.
