JESUS REVOLUTION BOOK PREVIEW FOREWORD I have been sharing Jesus for twenty-three years now, sixteen of those years on the missions’ field. The first message I ever preached was in 1993 back in New York. It was a simple message about the storm the disciples found themselves in when crossing the Sea of Galilee. Many of the disciples were afraid they were going to drown in the open sea. There was nothing they could do to save themselves. When Jesus came to them, walking on the turbulent sea, they became even more afraid as they thought it was a spirit. But Peter, upon seeing Jesus walking on the restless waters, asked Jesus to bid him to come on to the sea also. Jesus answered Peter’s question with one word, “Come!” That single word ‘Come’ says it all. Jesus walked on water. That is why Peter could walk on water. Jesus did it first and we, who are in Jesus, can enjoy all that Jesus has done. Peter could never walk on water by his own strength. By his own works he would sink. He could never become like Jesus by his track record. All his performances and achievements as a professional fisherman were useless when it comes to walking on water. However, being in Jesus, he could walk on the restless waters. There is a whole different world under Jesus’ feet. It’s a fallen from grace world. But we are not part of that world. We are above it as we who are in Jesus can walk with Him on the waters. We can see and do the impossible when we rest upon the finished work of Jesus. We can find rest when there is restlessness all around us. Because Jesus did it for us, we can now rest in Him. Rest does not mean inactivity but a rest that can only be found in what Jesus has accomplished for us on the cross. Everything we do comes out of this rest in Jesus. I am glad that you have chosen to ‘Come’ with me on this journey to see who Jesus really is. It is an amazing Grace journey. And when you see who Jesus is, you will finally see and know yourself. You do not need to strive to become because you already are. It is truly revolutionary. Actually, it should not come as a surprise as this book is all about Jesus and wherever He is, there will be a revolution. Welcome to the Jesus revolution!
