JESUS SAID YOU SHALL RECEIV POWER. there are basically two greek words translated power, in the new testament. the first is (Exousia) this refers to delegated power which is authority, that is, the right to act for another. it is this word that is translated power, in matthew 9:8 it is also found in matthew 28:18 the other greek word translated power is Dunamis, this refers to inherent power, this power is capable of reproducing itself and it is from it we get the English word dynamo. A dynamo coverts mechanical energy into electrical energy and this returns in cycle. in essence and in the context in which Jesus used it, it is dynamic ability to cause changes. this is the greek word translated power, both in Luke 24:49 and in Acts 1:8 this is the reason you can recreate your word.
