JFDB News Update Premier League 2013/2014 NPL Round 06 # PREVIEW Friday November 01st, 2013 Title: Humble Lion aiming to extend lead while Arnett welcome new coach As predicted several weeks ago by Premidictor, coaches Linval Dixon of Portmore United and Calvin Lewis of Arnett Gardens were heavily tipped to be the early coaching casualties and it was ni surprise when Jerome Waite replaced Lewis at Arnett Gardens after just five rounds. Arnett Gardens are currently in ninth spot on five points and if bottom placed Portmore United dont get their act together on Sunday, Dixon could be next. Waite will lead Arnett Gardens into battle against second place Montego Bay United on nine points at the Complex searching for their second win of the season with a pep in their steps looking to impress the new boss. It should be an intriguing game between two hard running teams in which the home team is given the edge. Former champions Portmore United unusually at the bottom with once point from five games will have most difficult task against fierce rivals and defending champions Harbour View in sixth spot with seven points. Only weeks ago Harbour View was at the bottom along with Portmore but following consecutive wins, have jumped up the ladder and are just two points from third spot. It will be a very tactical and intriguing encounter and it could end in a draw. Meanwhile Humble Lion on 12 points look set to extend their lead atop of the league when they host fifth placed August Town with seven points at Effortville. Third placed Tivoli Gardens on nine points should get the better of seventh placed Cavalier with seven points in what should be a keenly contested match at the Stadium East field. The Glendon Bailey coached aggregation are playing some wonderful attacking football with Kaemmar Daley pulling the strings from midfield and he will have to be contained if Cavalier intend to win. At Collie Smith Drive, both Boys Town and Rivoli United are locked on five points in 10th and 11th spots and a win could significantly improve their status in the league. The Red Brigades are not playing at their best right now and are ripe for the picking hence, I expect Rivoli United to notch their second win of the season. Fourth placed and title favourites Waterhouse on seven points wont be in action until Monday night when they play eighth placed Sporting Central Academy on six points at Drewsland. Waterhouse, fresh from their victory in the Flow Champions Cup, are expected to see off a dangerous but inconsistent Sporting Central. Premidictors Predictions Arnett vs Montego Bay -- Arnett win Boys Town vs Rivoli -- Rivoli win Cavalier vs Tivoli -- Tivoli win Humble Lion vs August Town -- Humble Lion win Portmore vs Harbour View -- draw Waterhouse vs Sporting -- Waterhouse win Web Site – jfdb.info Email - [email protected] Media Page - jfdb.info/main/media.asp?mn=1 Facebook Group - Jamaica Football Database Facebook user - Jfdb Jamaica Twitter - footballdataJA Skype – jfdb.info or [email protected] or Jamaica Football Database Whatapps Group ~ “ send me your number ” Chat group direct on Blackberry BBM – 2AB2F0F3 Jamaica Football Database “ The Gateway to Football “
