JIM CORNETTE RETURNS TO RINGSIDE IN A HISTORIC IHWE NEW YEAR SPECIAL Dec 27th 2014 Fort Worth, Tx One of the most decorated & influential figures in Professional Wrestling comes out of retirement and returns to ringside on a New Year IHWE TV season finale on Thursday, Jan 1st, at 12:00 a.m. cst. Jim Cornette will manage Thomas Shire to challenge IHWE Champion, Mr 5.5 Matt Riviera, who will have Boyd Bradford (formerly of the Bradford Exchange) in his corner. Over the years, Jim Cornette has been a manager, promoter, creative team member & has helped develop some of the biggest names in wrestling. Jim managed the Midnight Express to Tag Team gold in the National Wrestling Alliance. He started his own promotion, Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Jim would then sign with the then World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and be the american spokesperson for the WWF Champion, WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna. Jim would also manage Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith. He would also do color commentary alongside Jim Ross & WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Jim would be an instrumental creative member for the WWF in the early days of the biggest boom period in the business, The Attitude Era. Jim also would help the WWE in a developmental program-Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW)- where such stars as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Batista would get early experience in pro wrestling before coming into WWE. Jim also served on creative teams for both Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and Ring of Honor (ROH) before ceasing his heavy involvement in the current scene. However, Jim is working with IHWE now and is stepping back into a managerial role as he leads Shire to a championship showdown with Matt Riviera. Also on this special presentation.
