JJs Journey: We had been home for a whole month and on Wednesday night July 16, 2014 it was a normal night, JJs night nurse gave him his bath and put him in his swing but then she suctioned him & he got so upset and usually after a couple of minutes he would calm down, but this time he just started breathing like he was gasping and had this blank stare. His sats were fine his heart rate was high but nothing abnormal. We changed his trach we thought maybe he had a mucus plug but there wasnt one there, so then we gave him a breathing treatment. He was gasping and not responsive to us for a whole hour it was scary. After his breathing treatment and my dad talking and playing with him he was back to normal. But we had already called the ambulance. He was smiling and playing like nothing happen. The ambulance ppl wouldnt let us go to the hospital without a car seat so my mom had to come over and bring his (im glad this wasnt an emergency). Once we got to the hospital jj started doing the gasping again but this time his sats were dropping and he would not stop crying. They eventually had to sedate him and they said we were staying overnight. We came to the childrens hospital they made us wait in the waiting room and when I came back to jjs room he was so happy he was smiling the whole time which he rarely does. He was happy to be on the hospitals ventilator & now we are still on it thats why we are still here! JJ thinks this is vacation time lol. The doctors thought that maybe a malfunction happen to our vent but that wasnt it. So they tried changing some settings that didnt work either. So we finally got a different kind of vent called Trilogy. It worked for 2 days but the 2nd night jj cried for 3 hours straight with his sats going up & down so they took him off it and back on the hospital vent every since. We have been here 3 weeks we are ready to go home to our own beds. But of course we move on JJs time. The doctors also found masses on JJs liver that was once seen before but this time they got bigger. The doctor was talking cancer but God said different. The masses ended up being just mass that get bigger and theres nothing to do about them it doesnt harm him. See how God works. Goodnight facebook JJ is just happy as can be.
