JKPCC projects recapitulated in Doda District Development Commissioner Doda Mr. Shyam Vinod Meena today convened a meeting of Officers of JKPCC, R&B, Health Department, Fisheries Department, Education Department among others, to review the physical and financial progress achieved by Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) in the execution of various ongoing developmental works in the District. DDC took a thread bare retrospection of ongoing works at District Hospital Doda, Sub-District Hospital Bhaderwah, Ganpat Bridge, Steel Bridge Thathri, DC Office-cum-Mini Secretariat Doda, Changa - Kal-jugassar road, Gandoh- Jai road, Bhatyas- Mannu road, Court Complex Doda, Steel Girder Shiva-Dal Bridge, Kulsari Bridge, PHC Bhalla, PHC- Bharat, PHC Gundna, Sports Stadium Doda, Administrative Block GDC Bhaderwah, GDC Kilhotran, Community Hall Bhaderwah, Fish Farm at Bheja Bhaderwah among other projects were also discussed in the meeting. In order to have complete compatibility of construction with Detailed Project Report (DPR), DDC Doda instructed the JKPCC, the executing agency to ensure that the construction work is carried out strictly as per DPR and he laid stress on the vertical construction so that the land acquisition cases can be minimized. He also instructed that the construction should be in conformity with the particular seismic zone in which the project is being executed. He also briefed the officers about the urgent need of fencing the acquired land for construction purposes so that the problems of encroachments can be avoided, besides he emphasized upon the coordination between the departments and executing agencies in order to have a proper check on the quality of the material being used in the construction work. He also advised the departments to depute an officer/ official, who will monitor the pace and quality of work being executed on their respective departmental infrastructural developmental works. For ensuring the proper assessment of the pace of works, he directed XEn PWD (R&B) Doda and XEn PWD (R&B) Bhaderwah to coordinate with JKPCC and submit weekly progress report on the status of the ongoing works in their respective jurisdiction. To ensure the timely completion of Gandoh-Jai road, Bhatyas - Mannu road among others, he apprised JKPCC, Forest Department and SFC to conduct a joint inspection on the roads where alignment is in forest area, so that the forest clearances and subsidiary activities are expedited for its completion. Earlier, DDC was briefed by Assistant Director Fisheries Doda about the ambitious Fish Farm at Bheja Bhaderwah and demanded that the necessary funds for the completion of project may be arranged and DDC assured that the matter will be taken up with the higher authorities.
