Ps 83:1-4 HUNDREDS CLASH WITH IDF FORCES IN DAY OF RAGE: Palestinians adhered to leadership calls to hold a so-called Day of Rage against Israel on Friday, as hundreds of Judea & Samaria residents staged protests and clashed with Israeli security forces. Violence erupted at the flashpoint Kalandia checkpoint, as some 400 Palestinians threw stones and firebombs at IDF troops. In the Shuafat refugee camp, a funeral was held for 38-year-old Ibrahim al-Aqari, the east Jerusalem resident who killed two people and injured a dozen more in a terrorist attack this week. Bright-green Hamas flags were carried through the terrorists hometown, as residents threw stones and Molotov cocktails at security forces following the ceremony. Torching tires and trash cans, they chanted anti-Israel slogans, prompting Border Police officers to spray tear gas and quell the rising tensions. Both Hamas and Islamic Jihad called on Palestinians to take to the streets of Jerusalem and Judea & Samaria to demonstrate against Israels policies at the Aksa Mosque. Near Ramallah Palestinians threw stones at security personnel, while demonstrations were held in other areas to the south, near Hebron. (Jerusalem Post) JERUSALEM TERRORIST ATTACKS: A car terror attack in Jerusalem on Wednesday killed a Border Patrol officer, a teenager and injured 13 others. The terrorist, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, ran over a group of pedestrians, continued driving and struck a vehicle traveling along the road. He hit another car before being stopped. The attacker descended from his vehicle with a crowbar and began attacking passers-by. Police and Border Patrol officers shot and killed him. Three IDF soldiers were injured in a second terror attack on Wednesday evening as a Palestinian Arab commercial vehicle attempted to run over the soldiers as they were on duty near a guard stand. The driver then fled from the scene. Police and the IDF are currently searching for the perpetrators. One of the three soldiers was wounded critically, with chest and limb injuries, and two were wounded moderately. They were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem for treatment. Hamas later praised the terrorist attack calling it proof that the Palestinian resistance continues and that Judea & Samaria are a strategic part of it. ABBAS FATAH DEMANDS MORE CAR TERROR ATTACKS: Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas Fatah movement, still held up as a moderate counterbalance to Hamas by many in the world, is actively calling for car terrorist attacks after a recent spate of three such attacks in the last two weeks. After a Hamas terrorist murdered two, and wounded many others with his car in Jerusalem on Wednesday, and later another Arab driver rammed into three soldiers, Fatah posted numerous cartoons and images to its page calling for more such attacks. One cartoon was titled the run over organization. In the cartoon, Fatah urges hit the gas at 199 km/h for Al-Aqsa. Another Fatah post on Thursday reads simply run over, friend, run over the foreign settler! In yet another post from Wednesday, a picture of former PA Chairman Yasser Arafat shouting was subtitled the Jews are defiling Al-Aqsa - will you not rage? Abbas last month called on Palestinians to prevent Jews from entering the Temple Mount - the holiest site in Judaism - using all means necessary. (Arutz-7) Mahmoud Abbas is a terrorist, end of story - not a peace partner, not a moderate at all. He is also a known Holocaust denier. Abbas is in fact no different than former terrorist leader and murderer Yasser Arafat. So why does the White House support him? PLO TELLS JOURNALISTS: DONT USE THE TERM TEMPLE MOUNT: PA chief Mahmoud Abbas Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has issued special instructions to members of the international media, telling them to stop using the term Temple Mount, and to instead refer to the holy site as the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound or Noble Sanctuary. In a blatant attempt to impose a discourse erasing any reference to the Jewish character of the site, the PLO media advisory claims the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound is the compound that contains Al Aqsa building itself, ablution fountains, open spaces for prayer, monuments and the Dome of the Rock building. This entire area enclosed by the walls which spans almost 36 acres, forms the Mosque. It adds (inaccurately) that the area has been under exclusive Muslim control since the construction of the Dome of the Rock in 692 CE, - but notably ignores the fact that it is also the holiest site in Judaism. Claiming that since Israels presence in East-Jerusalem is illegal, it concludes that All international media representatives are advised to adhere to international law and correct any other existing terminology used. It is unclear how much of an impact the advisory will have on the medias reportage of issues surrounding the Temple Mount. It is notable, however, that the latest AFP report on tensions around the site only refers to it as The Al Aqsa Mosque compound. (Israel National News) Intercede against this latest terrorist attempt to undermine facts regarding the centuries-long Jewish presence in Jerusalem – long before Islam emerged in the Middle East. THE TEMPLE MOUNT IS THE SITE OF TWO JEWISH TEMPLES: The Temple Mount is the site of two Jewish Temples - the latter of which was destroyed in 70 CE. It is the holiest site in Judaism, and according to some Jewish traditions is the spot where the creation of the world began. The Dome of the Rock was built on top of the ruins of the Jewish Temples by Muslim Ummayad Caliph Abd al-Malek hundreds of years later, following the Islamic conquest of the Middle East. Despite its importance to them Jews are forbidden from praying at the site. Israeli authorities, fearful of Muslim violence and Jordanian threats to abrogate its peace treaty, heavily regulate Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, in what activists have branded a discriminatory practice which contradicts several High Court rulings calling for the implementation of equal prayer rights there. The PLO communique to members of the international media, telling them to stop using the term Temple Mount, and to instead refer to the holy site as the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, comes at a time of heightened tensions around the holy site. Muslim rioters have been attacking Israeli police and Jewish visitors with increasing frequency, culminating in the recent attempted murder of prominent Jewish activist Rabbi Yehuda Glick. Jordan recently announced it would be recalling its ambassador to Israel after Israeli police entered the mosque itself in response to Muslim rioters barricading themselves inside. The Waqf Islamic trust which administers the site is run by the Jordanian government and, has long been accused of actively working to erase any Jewish connection to the site. Countless ancient Jewish artifacts have been destroyed in the course of illegal excavations by the Waqf which, along with the Palestinian Authority and Islamist groups, ardently denies that the site has any importance to Judaism. (Israel National News) TEMPLE INSTITUTE RABBI: ANOTHER OUTRAGEOUS EXAMPLE OF TEMPLE DENIAL SYNDROME. Responding to the media advisory to members of the international media, telling them to stop using the term Temple Mount, and to instead refer to the holy site as the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute called it another outrageous example of the relatively recent phenomena that can best be described as Muslim Temple Denial Syndrome. Rabbi Richman noted that such attempts to deny the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount directly contradict earlier documentation published by Muslim authorities as well. In the pre-State of Israel publication, issued by the Supreme Muslim Council (the Wakf) entitled A Brief Guide to Al-Haram Al-Sharif, we find the following statements on page 4: The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest - perhaps from pre-historic - times. Its identity with the site of Solomons Temple is beyond dispute. This, too, is the spot, according to the universal belief, on which David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. Every subsequent edition of this guide book that was published before 1948 features this paragraph. However, the text is totally expunged in every edition of the booklet published after 1948, and instead we read it has been identified with Islam from the beginning. The PLOs newest media advisory is a newer spin, and only the newest demonstration of classic Islamic revisionist history. History does not begin with Islam, and Jewish history predates Islam by thousands of years. (Arutz-7) REPORT: OBAMA SENT SECRET LETTER TO IRAN ON FIGHTING ISIS: US President Barack Obama sent a secret letter to Irans Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei last month stressing the two countries shared interest in fighting Islamic State terrorists in Iraq and Syria, a media report on Thursday revealed. The letter in mid-October said cooperation between the US and Iran on combating the terrorist group was tied to a deal being reached between Iran and other nations on its nuclear program. The report cited people briefed on the letter, and said Obama administration officials declined to discuss the issue. However they didnt deny the letters existence when questioned by foreign diplomats. Meanwhile Israeli PM Netanyahu met with the EUs new foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in Jerusalem on Friday to talk about security issues facing the Jewish State. We are in the midst of very significant events, Netanyahu said, the most important of which is Iran becoming a nuclear threshold state, which if allowed, he cautioned, would be a huge error. The prime minister again warned that a nuclear Iran would lead to global instability, and was a direct threat not only to Israel, which Iran seeks to destroy, but to the entire Middle East and beyond. A bad deal with Iran, he admonished, would endanger the entire world. (J.Post) US MILITARY CHIEF: ISRAEL WENT TO EXTRAORDINARY LENGTHS TO LIMIT CIVILIAN CASUALTIES IN GAZA: US Army General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Thursday that Israel went to extraordinary lengths to limit collateral damage and civilian casualties in the recent war in Gaza. In this kind of conflict, where you are held to a standard that your enemy is not held to, youre going to be criticized for civilian casualties. They did some extraordinary things to try and limit civilian casualties, including making it known they were going to destroy a particular structure. He said the IDF, in addition to dropping warning leaflets, developed a technique called roof-knocking, dropping a low-yield explosive or non-explosive device on a rooftop, to advise residents to leave sites they planned to strike. Dempsey said civilian casualties during the conflict were tragic, but I think the IDF did what they could to avoid them. The IDF is not interested in creating civilian casualties. Theyre interested in stopping the shooting missiles out of the Gaza Strip and into Israel.
