JOAN-JOAN-JOAN: ONE SUBJECT, MANY ARTISTS ON EXHIBIT AT JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT Featured pieces include works by Chuck Arnoldi, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Shepherd Fairey, Frank Gehry, David Hockney and many more SANTA ANA, Calif. - A collection of over 190 portraits of one subject by internationally renowned contemporary artists is now on exhibit at John Wayne Airport through January 2014. The subject for these varied works of art is Joan Quinn, a friend of the artists and a patroness of the arts. The collection is being exhibited in the Vi Smith Concourse Gallery in Terminal A across from Gates 2 through 5, in Terminal C across from Gates 18 through 21 and in the free-standing display cases across from Gate 14. The exhibition is available for viewing by ticketed passengers. The exhibition features artworks on loan from the private collection of Los Angeles art collectors Jack and Joan Quinn. J. Cheryl Bookout was the curator and Amanda Quinn Olivar served as a curatorial advisor. The portrait titled: By a tree, by her pool, is an example of one interpretation of Joan as seen by fashion photographer Helmut Newton.
