JOB 16: "My advocate is there on high. My friends scorn me, but I pour out my tears to God. I need someone to mediate between God and me, as a person mediates between friends." - vs 19-21. These verses in Job 16 remind me of a line in a song, "the cry of an aching heart, is better than a hallelujah sometimes. We live in a world where no matter how much we seek to play it safe, pain, hurt, grief creeps up on us in overwhelming proportions and over time despair becomes more familiar to many us than joy or prosperity. May we even so, like Job REMEMBER that we have an Advocate on high, who is Christ our righteousness and may we REST believing that He knows all about it; He is in control and He ceaselessly mediates our causes on our behalves.
