HR Business Partner Petroleum Company – downtown Houston Direct Hire; salary commensurate with experience Responsibilities: • Serve as major point of contact for specific, assigned business unit(s) and provide HR expertise and guidance in all areas related to HR to include talent acquisition/recruiting, training and employee relations • Participate as a team member in HR Department assisting with and/or leading specific HR initiatives and projects • Act as primary point of contact for employees and managers in assigned business unit(s) to identify organization needs, recruitment and retention needs and employee issues • Manage recruitment process for assigned business units to include working with hiring managers on scheduling, interviewing, compensation on salary offers, and preparing offer letters • Develop relationships with staffing agencies and head hunters • Participate in developing HR department goals and objectives and in recommending new approaches, practices and procedures for continual process improvement • Analyze training needs and recommend options for employee development in assigned business unit(s) • Develop HR solutions for identified problems/issues by collecting information and recommending appropriate course(s) of action • Ensure HR practices and management decisions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies • Serve as in-house contact for employee policy and/or benefits questions • Provide meaningful employee data and trends for business partners including managing organization charts • Participate in all special HR projects as necessary Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in human resources, business or other human resources or business related discipline • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience covering a broad range of HR responsibilities • Proficiency with recruitment management system(s) • Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills • Maintain confidentiality of all HR related information • Organize and prioritize work; operate effectively and efficiently Other Information: • Medium-size company with a small, family-like feel • Publicly-traded and growing • Beautiful offices and amazing office/company culture • Generous compensation package including stock
