JOB Chapter 17 – TERESA’S EASY RENDITION 1 My spirit is broken, my days are extinguished. The grave awaits me. 2 Surely mockers surround me, and my eyes dwell amidst their hostility. 3 Please keep me secured in You. Who else will be there be to shake my hands? 4 You’ve closed their hearts to reason. No wonder You don’t honor them. 5 He may tell friends to accept bribe, but it’s the eyes of their sons that will fail. 6 But He made me a byword to everyone, and I’ve become someone on whose face people spit. 7 My eyes have grown dim with sorrow, and all my body parts are like but shadow. 8 The righteous are shocked, and even the innocent are stirred against the ungodly. 9 Yet the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will keep getting stronger.
