JOB LISTING: OFFICE MANAGER Oliver Hazard Perry Rhode Island (OHPRI) OHPRI is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization operating the Sailing School Vessel Oliver Hazard Perry. Our mission is to provide a maritime campus, offering experience-based, core-learning opportunities to a diverse student population, aboard a magnificent three-masted square rigged tall ship. The Oliver Hazard Perry is scheduled to begin running programs in 2015 and our goal is to collaborate with educational institutions and the marine industry to create a sustainable plan that promotes our seafaring heritage with programs that serve as symbols of our stewardship of the maritime environment and to provide a unique and invaluable educational opportunity for students of all ages. The Office Manager will play an important role in fundraising, administrative and communication activities including database management, direct mail appeals, assistance with special events, and establishing our merchandise program. In addition the successful candidate will interface with members of the public at public events and help increase public awareness of the organization and ship. Start date: Dec 2014. Please note this position is office based.
