JOB OFFER: Research Assistant The World Bank is looking for a research assistant to conduct quantitative analysis for its Development Economics Research Group in Washington, DC. Duties • Conduct statistical analysis of financial and accounting data. • Assist in analysis and interpretation of data for academic journal articles and policy reports. • Develop and maintain research databases. • Perform primary data entry. • Conduct literature reviews. Qualifications • Proficiency with multiple statistical software packages. Knowledge of STATA required, SAS preferred. • Knowledge of advanced quantitative methods used in finance and economics. • Familiarity with financial and accounting data and databases. • Ability to analyze and interpret data. • Ability to write and communicate effectively to academic and policy audiences. • Coursework in finance, economics, econometrics or statistics preferred. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work well independently and with others; ability to meet deadlines. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
