Equine Reproduction Veterinary Technician Position Available The Arnold Reproduction Center in Weatherford, Texas is seeking a motivated individual with an excellent work ethic interested in the equine practice of breeding and reproduction. The position is essential and therefore flexibility with work hours is required. This is not a 9 to 5 job. The applicant should be confident handling horses and have the ability to work individually and harmoniously with clients, colleagues, and staff. The Arnold Reproduction Center is the Midwest premier breeding and embryo transfer facility. Just two miles south of I-20 in Weatherford, Texas, we stand stallions known through the cutting world for their athletic performance, bloodlines, and disposition. Our USDA approved facility specializes in embryo transfers, semen collection, cooling, artificial insemination and mare care. The position involves horse handling, including stallions; palpating recipients, customer interaction, stallion collection, assisting with flushes and general practice maintenance. The successful candidate should possess the following capabilities and training: • 3-5 years’ experience working as a veterinary technician in an equine practice. Specialization in reproduction and breeding a plus. • Excellent horse handling skills, experience working with difficult horses, stallions, and recipient mares is required. • Excellent organizational ability, problem solving skills and self-motivation skills are required. • Driver’s license and experience with truck and trailer • The flexibility and ability to work seven (7) days a week during breeding season (approximately 6 months January – July) • Ability to work in a team environment, take direction and work well with all kinds of customers
