JOB OPENING: Manager of Facilities and Operations First Presbyterian Church Job Summary: Responsible for maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs and general oversight of the FPC building and grounds. The Manager will report directly to the Pastor as Head of Staff and to the chair of the Facilities Committee in the performance of assigned duties. Performance reviews are conducted annually by the Committee on Administration which also reviews the annual compensation package. Duties: Clean all levels of the church: vacuum, dust, mop and polish all fixtures, floors, and counters Basic knowledge of operations of boilers, air handlers, and air conditioning systems Ability to work closely with contractor/vendors Ability to communicate effectively about projects, progress, and building maintenance with leadership staff Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance Track maintenance files and records Maintains monthly calendar of scheduled events for property use Cooperate with staff, church members, and outside groups for the set-up, preparation, and clean up after events Interested candidates can complete an application at the Illinois workNet Center, 757 W.
