JOB OPPORTUNITY AT LITTLE FISH Could you be the right person to join Little Fish Events? Job title :: Creative Assistant at Little Fish Events All About You :: As half of Little Fish Events, I will need you to be a great all-rounder! Creative and enthusiastic, but also grounded and focused with a good commercial awareness. Efficient office administrative skills are essential as is your ability to create systems to work through repetitive tasks quickly and accurately. You need to have artistic flair as well good attention to detail and a passion for stationery and weddings. This role is more about your personality and your attitude than your previous experience, so please let me see ‘the real you’ in your covering letter! What You’ll be Doing on a Daily Basis :: * Guillotining and embellishing party and wedding stationery * Checking stationery samples again order forms for errors * Collating, wrapping and packaging orders… beautifully! * Keeping check of stock to ensure the work stations are always replenished and ordering as necessary * Photographing new products and uploading onto the online storefront * Working out costs and pricing structures for new products * Updating social networking sites with new products and daily dispatch items * Input of receipts into the accounts system and assistance with year-end accounts * Assisting Creative Director as necessary (that’s me!) * Undertaking any other tasks as may be reasonably required Your Role :: As Creative Assistant, your key responsibility will be to work on the stationery side of the business and finish all the printed products that are sold through Not On The High Street; ensure they are ready in the time for the post with all the necessary extras included; such as party bags, ribbon, raffia, craft pegs and sales literature. For the right person who is confident with a computer, there will be the opportunity to learn to use Corel Draw and prepare orders for print. In time there is the opportunity to develop as an illustrator and graphic designer if this is something that interests you. Support in an administrative and event management role will also be required during the run up to weddings and assistance on set up and the wedding day itself, this will involve weekend work but perhaps only three of four times a year. How Much and How Often :: The hours for this position are very flexible as they are dependent on the flow of online sales orders. Due to family commitments, hours will be substantially reduced in the school holidays, so please bear this in mind when applying for the position. Ideally the hours would be Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 12:30pm until 2:30pm, but this is negotiable. I expect hours to increase to nine hours a week within about eight weeks. The salary is £7 per hour with a review in six months. As the company grows, so will the hours, I suspect we are going to be very busy by this time next year! The Next Step :: Grab my attention!
