JOB OPPORTUNITY | Storeperson/Purchasing Officer About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Storeperson/Purchasing Officer for our busy mechanical workshop based in Gladstone. The suitable candidate must be local to Gladstone and have experience working within a busy store/mechanical environment. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for organising tooling and gear for various maintenance projects. What we are looking for: To be considered for this Storeperson position you will need to clearly demonstrate:- • Be career driven and have experience in warehouse, stores or logistics • Experience with maintenance and working within a mechanical workshop environment. • Souring and purchasing of goods and goods dispatch. • Receipting of goods, Issuing of parts to work orders. • Maintaining of stock levels. • Managing of the tool store. • Positive can do attitude • Good written and verbal communication skills • Experience with computer programmes as such MEX. • Highly organised with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently • Be self-motivated with strong initiative skills and the ability to work autonomously. Must be able to work unsupervised and take ownership of stores duties. Experience with maintenance and working within a mechanical workshop environment would be an advantage.
