Experienced teachers who have been actively engaged in ongoing professional development and are excited about making a difference in the lives of young women are encouraged to apply for the following position for the 2013-14 academic year: Senior Kindergarten Teacher The strategic implementation of a Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based program benefits from the support of an extended teaching team. The SK Teacher will work collaboratively as a member of a two person co-teaching team. Your responsibilities include collaboratively planning, implementing and assessing challenging, dynamic experiences using a Reggio-inspired approach. You will be working closely with specialist teachers and be involved with co-curricular activities including academics and athletics. You see yourself as a researcher, embracing professional development opportunities, attending faculty planning sessions and Junior School events such as concerts and other exhibitions of learning with interest and enthusiasm. A Bachelor of Education, a passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice, the ability to collaborate, multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, as well as at least three years experience working at the primary level, are the requirements for this exciting opportunity.
