We are seeking highly collaborative teachers who are passionate about their subject area and who actively seek the opportunity for interdisciplinary and real-world connections and who are innovative not only in the use of technology but in the ways that they engage students in learning. Experienced teachers who have been actively engaged in ongoing professional development and are excited about making a difference in the lives of young women are encouraged to apply for the following position for the 2013-14 academic year: Senior Kindergarten Teacher The strategic implementation of a Reggio-inspired, inquiry-based program benefits from the support of an extended teaching team. The SK Teacher will work collaboratively as a member of a two person co-teaching team. Your responsibilities include collaboratively planning, implementing and assessing challenging, dynamic experiences using a Reggio-inspired approach. You will be working closely with specialist teachers and be involved with co-curricular activities including academics and athletics. You see yourself as a researcher, embracing professional development opportunities, attending faculty planning sessions and Junior School events such as concerts and other exhibitions of learning with interest and enthusiasm. A Bachelor of Education, a passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice, the ability to collaborate, multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, as well as at least three years experience working at the primary level, are the requirements for this exciting opportunity.
