JOB OPPORTUNITY We are a popular independent food led pub/restaurant located in Partridge Green just south of Horsham, serving and preparing predominantly Modern British cuisine. Our philosophy is to “let the food speak for itself”; our dishes are flavoursome, yet simply presented and, as you would expect, everything is prepared from scratch using the finest fresh, seasonal ingredients. We are now searching for an enthusiastic and talented Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, has a thirst to learn and a desire to advance their professional career and in return, we will provide classic training We offer a competitive salary commensurate with your ability and experience. In return, we require your commitment, your willingness to learn and readiness to take on additional responsibilities as your abilities progress. We are looking for someone who has raw talent, enthusiasm and a great passion for food. You must be able to integrate with a small, friendly and highly motivated kitchen team and you must be able to work well under pressure. Of course, you must also be willing to learn and adopt the food preparation methods of the kitchen. Ideally, you will have 2-3 years experience working as a chef in a similar independent kitchen environment. A particular skill with pastry and desserts would be a bonus. You must be able to work as part of a team, cope well under volume, and manage your own section. Knowledge of health and hygiene standards is also crucial This is a full time position, working five days per week. You will be required to work a mixture of day and evening shifts, including weekends. You must live locally or have realistic travel arrangements.
