JOB OPPORTUNITY – RESEARCH ASSISTANT/Postdoc/MS or PhD STUDENT working on circular RNAs Background We are looking for Research Assistant/Postdoc/MS/PhD student to join a research team at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Heard about siRNAs, miRNAs, LnRNAs? How about circular RNAs? The main goal of the project is to advance our understanding of the control of immune response by newly identified circular RNAs. You will be involved in a very exciting and brand new field in the RNA biology. The project is carried out in collaboration with Dr. David Baltimore, a Nobel laureate, and bioinformative group led by Dr. Barbara Wold at the California Institute of Technology. Location To be based in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Employment Type and Duration · Full‐time. · Contractual. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities · Optimize and execute study protocols. · Provide administrative support for the overall running of the projects. Experience and Qualifications · Bachelors’ degree (CGPA of at least 3.3) and preferable with at least one year of working experience in a research laboratory environment. · Experience in bioinformative, cell culture, RT-PCR, molecular and immunological research techniques will be an added advantage. · Fluent in written and spoken English. · Strong reporting and documentation skills · Able to work with minimal supervision.
