JOB TITLE: Program Director John Date Posted: Monday, October 28, 2013 Respond by: Friday, November 29, 2013 Position / Title: Program Director – Community Partners for Child Safety – Region 9 Location: CPCS Plainfield 1925 Crown Plaza Bvld. Plainfield, IN 46168 Reports to: Executive Vice President Purpose / Scope: The Program Director for Community Partners for Child Safety will be located in our Plainfield office and serve Boone, Hendricks, Montgomery, Morgan and Putnam counties which make up Region 9. The Director will concentrate on training, supervision and support of a Community Liaisons (Case Managers), a Parent Partner and facilitate an Advisory Committee in the 5 county region. This position will also assist with the management of our region 5 office in Monticello and supervision of their staff. This position requires travel within the region and to region 5 providing supervision of staff, services to clients and coordinating resources within each community. This position also develops and maintains relationships with local county agencies and resources and carries an active caseload serving clients. Essential Duties: 1. Supervise staff with proper documentation to ensure that policy and procedures of Children’s Bureau are being carried out. 2. Managing and developing a yearly program budget to include monthly review of financial statements. 3. Attend minimum of 20 hours annually of in-service/workshops to include one topic on diversity. 4. Facilitate a program Advisory Committee. 5. Respond to crisis situations and assist community liaison staff. 6. Complete staff payroll and forward to financial department on time. 7. Assist with referrals, intake and discharge of clients. 8. Be available by phone and/or respond to crisis situations with clients and staff. 9. Maintain statistical data as required for contracts. 10. Maintain client files and ensure all necessary documentation is present. 11. Carry an active caseload of clients providing assessment and case coordination. 12. Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor. Qualifications: * MSW and/or Master’s degree in a related degree in a human service field required. * Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and car. * 2 years experience in management or supervisory capacity in child welfare or related field preferred. * Knowledge of community resources services and programs in region 9. * Knowledge in the areas of abuse/neglect * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Experience in working with a team. * Experience/ability to respond appropriately to cultural difference in the community, staff and clients. * Experience in writing and reviewing case plans and setting client goals.
