JOB TITLE: Surgery Scheduler LOCATION: Portland, OR DAYS AND HOURS: Monday-Friday 8-5 STARTING DATE: ASAP DESCRIPTION: Great fast paced practice seeking a full time surgery scheduler with at least 1+ year of experience as a Surgery scheduler. Must be comfortable coordinating patients surgeries by verifying insurance, documenting entire process ie. exact surgery, CPT and ICD9 codes, pre-authorizations etc. Must be able to counsel patients preoperative cost for their financial obligation, create patient estimates with CPT codes and calculate deposits. Must be able to verify patient eligibility and coverage using an online application. Review, instruct and work with patients from start to finish. Your responsible for scheduling operating room time according to physician scheduling protocols as well as pre-scheduling pre-operative tests and blood work. Additional duties will be presented at interview.
