JOB VACANCY - £45, 000 PER YEAR (approximately) Help to Deliver on the Vision for Dunfermline DUNFERMLINE FIRST is a recently formed charitable organisation with a key focus on developing Dunfermline as a creative place with a strong year round cultural programme and leading on a range of initiatives to increase the vibrancy and footfall in and around the town centre. An opportunity has arisen for an appropriately experienced individual or organisation to support this work and deliver on the vision of Dunfermline First and key partners in the Dunfermline area. Key outcomes and deliverables are: • Developing with key partners the concept and brand of Dunfermline as a creative and vibrant place with an associated strong year round cultural programme • A strong cultural programme in 2014 and a legacy in the medium to longer term • Commissioning and development of new activities and events where these would complement the existing offering • Effective working relationships with key stakeholders • Effective engagement with key partners, local people, communities, and the media • Successful marketing and promotion of cultural and other events and activities in Dunfermline • Securing sufficient resources secured to deliver the vision of Dunfermline First for the town and surrounding area in the longer term • Delivering a positive impact on the Dunfermline and West Fife economy • Enhancing the profile of Dunfermline as an international visitor destination • Engaging effectively engagement with local people and communities • Enhancing local civic pride This opportunity will be for an initial 12 month period, with a longer term opportunity subject to successful delivery on key outcomes and external funding obtained. Dunfermline First are open to employing the right individual on an initial 12 month contract, or to contracting with appropriately experienced organisations for a 12 month period. Salary for the post/the value of the contract will be approximately £45,000, and additional incentives are available for the ideal candidate or organisation.
