JOB VACANCY- INDIAN EXPAT NEEDED POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, REF: 20 - INDIAN NATIONAL REQUIRED The Company: Our client is a leading manufacturing firm in Nigeria with state of the art plant and leading the entire industry in Western African region and beyond. FUNCTION SUMMARY To oversee the marketing of the company’s current optical disc products; and anchor the marketing of the new products, raw materials for the plastics industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Strategy & Revenue Generation • Develop and articulate a comprehensive strategic plan for the Company, emphasizing business development and marketing needs. • Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities and feasibility reports supporting growth based on the insight derived from the use of appropriate business models. • Lead the formulation, execution and monitoring of Company’s business development, market penetration strategies and operating plans for enhancing business growth and operating efficiency. • Develop and implement effective Marketing and Sales systems, processes, procedures and policies. • Review market analysis, sales statistics and reports to determine the marketing potential of new and/or existing customers, and to determine sales potential • Build customer profile by identifying immediate term goals and evaluating customer’s capabilities • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following company procedure • Define strategy for relating with each customer group and create a Customer Relationship Plan per group • Collate weekly marketing call report of the marketing staff • Effectively manage each customer account to ensure that sales targets are fully achieved. • Prospect for and acquire new and financially viable high volume customers. • Monitor company performance against defined key performance indices/metrics and raise issues for Management attention as may be required from time to time • Perform any other responsibility as assigned from time to time COMPETENCY AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • Experience with or knowledge of Nigerian plastics industry and their raw material supply needs. • Demonstrated experience and qualifications in the field of Sales and Business Development • Demonstrated history in exceeding sales and revenue targets • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing client, partner and • knowledge • Confident Negotiator and ability to ‘close deal’ • Have an established network of contacts in the Nigerian plastics industry • Excellent problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions • Strong client management & Relationship skill • Researching and analyzing new business opportunities • Excellent presentation and communication skill • Organizational and time management skill • Industry Integrity • Result-Orientation • Team Player • Positive attitude in dealing with people • Ability to cope with competing demands and prioritize tasks • Demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail • Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS • Number of viable leads identified • Revenue from new customers as percentage of total revenue • Customer satisfaction levels • Accuracy of client information in customer database • Frequency & Accuracy of data on market/customer trends • Percentage of proposals/quotations converted to opportunities • Percentage achievement of stated goals • Number of viable leads identified • Market Share growth • High customer retention • Target vs. Actual increase in market share of specific industry • Revenue from new customers as percentage of total revenue • Cost of promotion programs as percentage of attributable revenue generated • No of customers acquired in target Market • Timeliness and accuracy of business performance/productivity reports • Ease of retrieval and utilization of strategic plans, marketing and Sales documents QUALIFICATION • A good University degree • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience, of which 4 must be in Nigeria. AGE: Not more than 42 years. OTHER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 1. Two (2) years renewable contract tenure. 2. Six months of probation; confirmation after accomplishing targets & objectives mentioned in KPI 3. Bachelor’s accommodation, with domestic help & cook. 4. Bachelor’s accommodation; family accommodation after 365 days. 5. 28 days annual leave after 365 days. 6. Medical allowance. 7. Return tickets for husband & wife every 2 years, or one-way ticket every year. 8. Official car & driver. 9. Visa processing fees & ticket will be paid upon your arrival.
