JOB VACANCY PC Club in Moshi is looking for a Sous Chef and a Waiter. Please find brief outline of the jobs below. Box 93, Moshi SOUS CHEF · Assisting Head Chef to maintain high standards of food, control food cost, hygiene of the kitchen and kitchen staff. · Be in charge of the entire kitchen operation when Head Chef is not present. · Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation. · Ensure that TPC Club’s catering standards are maintained. · Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. · Preparation and cooking of all food required for breakfast, lunch and dinner as per TPC Club standards, to include set menu meals, à la carte meals and meals for special/private functions. · Instruct & supervise cooks and other kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food. · Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff. · Record production data on specified forms · Ensure adequate communication with the waiters on the timing of the meals. · Pay attention to presentation of all food that is being served. · Ensure that any guests’ dietary requirements are fully understood, and know what is in the products that you are using as ingredients. · Must be fluent in English. · Must be able to work on irregular work schedules. WAITER · Prepare service areas for meals, to include laying tables, preparing buffet counters, stocking service areas with napkins, table cloths, condiments etc. · Receive guests arriving at the restaurant and to escort them to a table. · To present them with menus and to take their food & beverage orders. Be able to explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and preparation methods. · Ensure that any guests’ special dietary requirements are fully understood, and inform the kitchen accordingly. · Serve food & beverages to guests as per service standards outlined by Club management. · To check with guests that they are enjoying their meals & drinks and take action to correct any problems. · Clear tables and take crockery, cutlery, glasses and other equipment to wash up area or storage area. · Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation. · Record sales data on specified forms. · Assist managers with operating stock counts and other record-keeping. · Must be fluent in English. · Must be able to work on irregular work schedules.
