Position: Revenue Assurance Analyst Applicant Profile Position is expected to report into Revenue Assurance Manager and perform operational controls reviews that would result in financial control across the business. Responsibilities • Translate targets and strategies into operational plans, ensuring alignment of these to business strategy, driving the execution thereof and taking corrective actions where necessary. • Manage the MTN Finance team; including reviewing the monthly operational results and ensuring that all PPP’s are current and valid, and also including risk management and quality assurance. • Ensure timely submission of requested financial information to MTN Group Finance. • Drive best practice, continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level within Finance unit. • Define and implement adequate financial controls and processes to minimize risk and effective operations with no adverse audit comments. • Manage the Audit process for the department, ensuring that audit points are dealt with effectively and timorously and liaising with internal and external auditors to assist with audits and ensuring resolution of audit points. • Initiate and manage ad hoc Finance related projects, providing business planning, support and input as necessary. • Define and manage local and foreign payables processes, ensuring alignment with all company policies, procedures and contractual obligations. • Ensure implementation of processes around accounting for inventory • Annual and monthly review of fixed asset reconciliations and implementation of tracking system for fixed assets • Define and manage general ledger process for MTN • Define and develop analysis to support the reporting process and compile annual financial statements • Provide inputs for the forecasting, planning, development and review of budget for MTN Finance department • Manage and optimise the budget, ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed budgets • Monitor costs and determine initiatives to optimize resources. Ensure cost effectiveness by maximising cost/benefit ratios and Identify areas where money is lost and seek ways to reduce expenditure Candidate Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy/ Finance and full ACCA • Minimum of 5 years financial management • At least 3 years in senior financial management role in a large organization • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an external audit environment • 2 years’ experience in telecommunications • Member of ZICA • Experience in IFS, Oracle or similar ERP • Highly analytical and a strategic thinker with strong people management skills • High level presentation skills, high level of resilient, assertiveness, integrity and an audit background is beneficial • Ability to work with tight deadlines and work under pressure • Strong entrepreneur with focus on revenue and profit growth • High level corporate governance acumen • Good understanding of budgeting procedures and principles • A high technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting • Knowledge of GSM products, services and GSM systems and interfaces • High level creativity/ innovativeness, methodical approach interpersonal • Strong sense of ownership, compliance and integrity The close date is 25/09/2013
