JOBS!... WEEKEND SPORTS ANCHOR/MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST (WXOW-TV) WXOW-TV, La Crosse, WI seeks a Weekend Sports Anchor/Multimedia Journalist. Will develop and maintain local community contacts to enterprise quality local sports stories. Must have strong writing ability, live skills, be able to shoot and edit, competitiveness, and a team attitude. Web and social media skills are critical. Will be part of a hyper-local sports team. Box C-4019, La Crosse, WI 54602-4019 (6/3) WSAW-TV, Wausau, WI REPORTER/PHOTOGRAPHER: Duties include creating unique content for newscasts and new media platforms from conception to completion, including enterprising story ideas, gathering interviews, shooting video, writing stories, editing video, and live on-air delivery of content. Must have excellent news judgment, strong broadcast writing skills, a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, and be able to deliver content comfortably and effectively for live broadcasts. Degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent work experience required. Experience with Avid iNews, Grass Valley Edius, and Sony XDCAM cameras a plus. KMEG/KPTH-TV, Sioux City, IA MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST: Must be able to turn a story quickly and make deadline, be able to uncover news and not rely on the assignment desk, have live shot experience, and shoot and edit. Knowledge of non-linear editing (Premiere/Final Cut) a big plus. Fill-in anchor duties possible. Must understand libel laws and be willing to get involved in the community. Journalism degree or equivalent experience required; one-two years reporting experience preferred.
