JOBS in GOLDEN LAND Assistant Account Executive Job Title: Assistant Account Executive Department: Account Services Job Level: Junior Job Type: Full-Time Location: Yangon Category: Public Relations Position Overview: We are seeking an Assistant Account Executive for our communications and public relations firm in Yangon. Candidate will be creative and a key part of implementing a variety of communications campaigns and tactics for our clients. Qualified candidates will have exceptional writing skills in English and Myanmar language and the ability to manage multiple tasks. The candidate should have an understanding of PR, knowledge of today’s ever-changing media and business landscapes in Myanmar, and strong research, writing and editing skills. Essential Job Functions: • Assist with day-to-day client activities, including research, planning, implementation and evaluation of media and public relations activities, and paying careful attention to deadlines • Monitor the media regularly for client news and mentions, scan and compiling reports on clippings and account activities • Support internal functions of Zagar, such as the updating of media lists, supporting new business activities and attending meetings as needed • Assist with the creation of effective, comprehensive public relations programs and plans that are well organized and well written • Take time to learn and ask about PR • Take time to learn and ask about print, electronic and Internet media, particularly those that impact client activities • Ensure that supervisors are kept fully informed regarding activities and plans of individuals and clients. Requirements: • Excellent writing/translating skills in English and Myanmar languages required • Experience in media relations, journalism or business • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team environment • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation) • Record of excellent organization and planning skills, taking initiative NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
