JOHANNESBURG: Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates’ captain Senzo - TopicsExpress

JOHANNESBURG: Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates’ captain Senzo Meyiwa’s father said yesterday that the bullet that took his son’s life killed a part of him. A visibly upset Sam Meyiwa told reporters outside his house in Umlazi, Durban, that he wanted the men who killed his son arrested as soon as possible. “They (the police) must make sure they get these people who killed my son. I want them in jail. I want them in custody. I want to talk to them and ask them why they killed my son. It’s like they killed myself.” Police were quick to quash rumours that Meyiwa’s death was a “hit”, possibly linked to his alleged “messy” private life. Late yesterday, as shocked reaction to the murder of the 27-year-old continued to pour in, a massive police investigation was under way. Meyiwa’s killers are now the most wanted men in the country. A multidisciplinary police task team is hunting them, and the SAPS reward for information was upped to R250 000. MADLY INLOVE
