JOHN COLLINS has insisted Celtic will not be panicked into signings after the humiliation in Poland. The Hoops are facing Champions League oblivion after their 4-1 hammering from Legia Warsaw in midweek. However, assistant boss Collins said: Time is important, were getting to know the players. Weve got one or two injured and it doesnt help with our captain, Scott Brown, being out. Like every club, we are looking for new talent, but it takes time. The important thing is you dont dive in and sign the wrong players. We are looking for players to enhance the quality weve already got. Weve got good players, weve got a good squad, but, of course, it needs strengthened. However, I will say it again, its about the right players. Collins warned against writing off the SPFL champions before the second leg against the Poles at Murrayfield on Wednesday. He added: It is only half-time so it is not over. Weve done it before and we can do it again. At 2-1 down we went 4-4-1 and theres not a lot more you can do when you have only 10 men. They pin you back and with 10 minutes to go it was 2-1, which is not too bad. Losing the two late goals makes it look really bad. It will take a terrific performance. We will have to defend well and well have to take our chances. And there is no doubt we will create opportunities with the players weve got on the park. With the great Celtic support behind us, pushing the players forward, they will play a huge part as well.
