JOHN CRAWFORD WALMART SHOOTING RELEASED: At Ohio Carry, we wait - TopicsExpress

JOHN CRAWFORD WALMART SHOOTING RELEASED: At Ohio Carry, we wait to pass judgment until all facts are known in a case. We patiently waited for months while The police investigated the Walmart shooting in Beavercreek Ohio. We waited for the video to be released so we could watch it and make our own conclusions. The video has officially been released and we have all viewed it in great detail. From what we can tell, Mr. Crawford posed no direct threat to the officers. The gun was not pointed at anyone, and he was standing completely still in a nonthreatening manner when he was gunned down. Obviously, there may be more facts or video released, but for right now, this is the information we have, and we are going based off of that. Regardless of what you may feel about open carry, what Mr. Crawford was doing was completely legal in the state of Ohio. Whether you agree with him carrying that BB rifle or not, he broke no laws and should absolutely not have been gunned down by the police. It is in the opinion of Ohio Carry that Mr. Crawford should not have been shot by the Beavercreek Police Department. The beaver Creek Police Department should absolutely receive updated training on open carry laws in the state of Ohio. Many organizations and groups across the state are organizing protests against the beaver Creek Police Department right now. While we do not endorse these on an individual basis one way or the other, we do ask that if you go, you stay smart, and stay vigilant. We would also like to correct some bad information that is going around. There is no such thing as a brandishing law in the state of Ohio. There are no laws that dictate how you should carry your firearm. As long as you can legally possess that firearm, there are no restrictions to the manner in how you carry it. The only issue that would arise is if you were pointing it at people in a threatening manner, you could be charged with menacing or aggravated menacing. But to clear up the confusion, brandishing is not a charge that would apply in the state of Ohio. Please direct all questions to our email address, ohiocarry@yahoo
