JOIN Beliefs The Documentary Group https://facebook/groups/574548365950405/ A project with the purpose of seeking information, input, etc. in the making of a documentary film on beliefs, whether they be fact or fiction, and how beliefs are formed. This is a REAL project with a producer so help is much appreciated. This would include those that cause serious harm such as the belief as animal parts (rhino horns) as a cure for cancer and vaccination fears. While others may seem of little to no import, such as Bigfoot and UFOs. In choosing topics, please keep in mind that films need to be made for the average person and appeal to a broad audience. This is not making instructional films or scientific films. It is important to take very complex material and distill from it the essence that will capture the attention of average people. So we need to recognize that most people do not have a scientific background, nor do they understand the scientific method (probably one of the primary reasons that so many people are gullible), and may need to explain this for any topic. In going through possible areas, think about what might capture the imagination of the average person. Why should they be interested in this film? Will it make them a better person? Will it help them to understand things that currently puzzle them? Will it help them to get along better with their family, friends, and co-workers? Will it help them to succeed? Also, is the material controversial? Something that people on both sides of an argument will talk about? Some topics that might stir up discussion would be: Creationism versus Evolution Conservative versus Liberal Introversion versus Extroversion Independence versus Conformity Patriotism versus Global Village Natural versus Synthetic Consumption versus Abstinence Saving versus Spending Experimentally Proven versus Supernatural Material versus Spiritual Hawk versus Dove Exercise versus Learning
