JOINED AT THE ELBOW: If you missed it, here’s the short documentary “Tommy and Frank,” part of ESPN’s 30 for 30 series, about the most groundbreaking surgery in baseball history. Dr. Frank Jobe was inducted into the Baseball Reliquary’s Shrine of the Eternals on July 15, 2012, and was introduced by Tommy John. The day before, Dr. Jobe relieved Tommy John and threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium. In the documentary, at the 7:20 mark, you’ll see the segment with Jobe and John at Dodger Stadium; at 8:06, you’ll see footage from the Shrine of the Eternals Induction Day. At 10:00, the barbershop quartet American Pastime performs “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” as part of the induction festivities.
