JONATHANS DECLARATION :OBJ, IBB, ABUBAKAR MAY NOT ATTEND. Serious efforts are underway to persuade former leaders of the country to attend the declaration but no commitment is yet to be extracted from them. It is widely believed that these leaders will not only add glamour to the ceremony but credibility. However as at yesterday, no one has assured the committee of his attendance. This is a big source of worry to PDP. One person that can do the magic is Baba OBJ but he is unlikely going to be there. IBB may not want to be there so as not to be seen as an obstacle to the North reclaiming power. If IBB will not be there, Abubakar may not be there. These people are seen as people who can easily influence the electorates. Certainly the crowd will be there, but the conspicuous absence of these leaders would be like a king without a crown. Lets cross our fingers and watch how events will unfold.
