JOSEPHs 13 YEARS OF SUFFERING & 22 YEARS ABSENCE FROM HIS FATHER.... 1. Joseph was around 17 years old when he had his dream and was sold to to Egypt as a SLAVE; (Genesis 37:1 & 5-11) 2. THE YOUNG Joseph was prosperous as a SLAVE to Potiphar (Genesis 39:2 -5) & Potiphars household was blessed because of the presence of Joseph 3. THE YOUNG Joseph was tempted by Potiphars wife but refuse to SIN Genesis 39:7-9 4. THE YOUNG JOSEPH went to IN PRISON for refusing to SIN 5. HE was now over 20 years, spent TWO FULL YEARS IN PRISON ...(Genesis 41:1) 6. He was 30 years old when he stood before Pharaoh and explained the kings dream; (Genesis 41:46). This implies it took 13yrs before Joseph could be a FREE MAN, ...from the time HE HAD HIS DREAM 7. Plus 7 years of abundance, plus 2 years of famine means Joseph was 39 years old when he revealed himself to his bothers (Genesis 45:6 ) 8. From 17 years to 39 that is 22 YEARS !...away from Jacob, 9. God always spoke to JACOB , but for all these 22 years ...GOD DID NOT TELL JACOB that HIS Son was ALIVE!!!! ...(Genesis 45:26) 10. It is only after 22 years that God spoke to Jacob about Joseph (Genesis 46:4)....Amazing story! Lesson: We learn a lot about our walk with God. Our God can give you His promises and immediately put you under suffering, just as He did with Joseph. Our Lord can take away what is very dear in your eyes for many years, but at the end, HE REMAINS A FAITHFUL GOD. Yes it will be painful, yes your will mourn....BUT AT THE END, YOU WILL BE FILLED WITH JOY. Hold on to your faith in Jesus , UNTIL THE END!...Just like JACOB and Joseph . Amen
