((JOY TIME IN HIS PRESENCE, 19/06/2014))) PREACHER MAN: Pastor Ato Acquah TODAY’S MESSAGE: Divine Help SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Samuel 9 • Man’s help cannot measure up to God’s help • Man’s helper is God but God will help man through man • Nobody climbs up the ladder of life (success) without help • Everybody needs help. 2 Samuel 9:1 David asked, “Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” • By the spirit of favour, may God touch the heart of your David to call out for you and bring you divine help. 2 Samuel 9:2 Now there was a servant of Saul’s household named Ziba. They summoned him to appear before David, and the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” “At your service,” he replied. 3 The king asked, “Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan; he is lame in both feet.” • May God help me locate my Ziba for divine recommendation. Cause my Ziba to introduce me. 2 Samuel 9:4 4 “Where is he?” the king asked. Ziba answered, “He is at the house of Makir son of Ammiel in Lo Debar.” 5 So King David had him brought from Lo Debar, from the house of Makir son of Ammiel. Lo Debar means a place of low state or loneliness. But Like Mephibosheth, God is transporting you to a high table. The enormity of your problem does not change the enormity of God Man sees your predicaments but God sees your promise. 2 Samuel 9:6 6 When Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, he bowed down to pay him honor. David said, “Mephibosheth!” “At your service,” he replied. Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.” • God is restoring everything you lost so you can feast (enjoy) continually. Everything is going to work together for your good . 2 Samuel 9:7 Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.” 8 Mephibosheth bowed down and said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?” • Life is making you see yourself as a non-entity but there is a change coming your way. PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the revelation of your word. Please bring divine help my way. Let divine help locate me. May that which is causing me pain bring me gain. Lord cause me to locate my Ziba for divine recommendation.
