JPC Update & Sponsorship newsage: A really hectic last few days / weeks...so apologies once more for slacking inadasponsorshiparea. Much of last week was sponsored by people who gave cash to me...and have made notes of this as best can. And have transferred via virgingiving so we get the tax back via giftaid (as you are all taxpayers). You should be able to see this on the relevant virgingiving pages...but thanks are due to Becky Webbs Halloween run, the Knathballs (local farming family), Pete Clark, Tim and Wayne. Last week I was feeling a bit jaded with the fundraising for a reason I wont repeat. I posted about this briefly before deleting...but a few folk saw it...and one person...an anon...stuck a tenner on...so todays is for you anon...as I think you donated on the back of my email...much appreciated. Your little gesture lifted me. I have actually saved all my deleted posts, and will make available once more when / if we complete the challenge...such that no-one misses anything. I dont like to post negative posts...as this challenge needs to stay positive...but the negative posts are part of the challenge in a way...so I have kept them. I apologise to those of you who have clicked on a link...only to find a message which says content no longer available...i will repost these should we finish. Tuesday is sponsored by the Clark family who looked after Alfredo during the Mendip Muddle (Paul, Judith, George & Sam). Wednesday is sponsored by Thames Hare & Hounds...me and Alfredo are going to do a training run with them down in London on Weds eve and we think they will be taking us out for a 10K around Richmond Park. Really looking forward to meeting them...but a little scared also (me and Alf are a little aspie...and meeting groups of strangers is a somewhat daunting prospect...we are fine once we realise we are welcome...but the anticipation makes us very anxious). Thursday is for Peter Killeys grandsons 2nd birthday. Grandson Harvey (cool name we think). Some of you may recall that Peter K ran a fine leg as part of our winning team in the mixed gender category of the Uphill to Wells relay...a super day for me, NJT, Alfredo, Sally, Georgie and Fran. Friday is sponsored by TACHs Claire Rees...in memory of Sheltie Billie Bean...who died earlier this year. And finally, Saturday is sponsored by June Cooper...who has sponsored Alfredo before...but who mentions that his cause...Happy Landings...has a big waiting list for animals in need of rehoming at the moment. So a big up to Happy Landings Animal Shelter via June...and we hope they can sort as many of these wonderful creatures as possible...as we like these creatures...they will make a new family happy we think...we hope. x and woof
