JT is home this week and next. Yaaayyyyy! He is filming locally so we get to hang out. Watched a really cool Movie tonight, the Secret life of Walter Mitty. Ben Stiller. Its a good flick. It made want to go out and have an adventure, but oh wait, Im in the ministry, I am in an adventure. The ministry has been good to us over the years. I am finishing 40 years active. In another profession I would already be drawing my pension. Replaced by someone younger and less experienced. When I became a preacher, I wasnt looking for a job, I answered the call of God. Yes or No. You dont pick the ministry the ministry picks you. Our profession is a calling from God with the Grace to accomplish what he asks. Seasons come and go but the calling remains forever. Now God has once again raised me from disease after almost 5 years. The cancer is still in me but God is and will take it away. I am doing my due diligence, and taking care of the temple. But it is God who brings the healing. My physicians have been and continue to be awesome. I have been so blessed to have some of the greatest men and women of medicine Ive ever known. No retirement for preachers. We are called and commissioned by God to do his bidding. We are set apart. I am still proud of the calling on my life. And thrilled that I have more time to experience other adventures in God.
