JULIA UPDATE and HELP PLEASE Wonderful news is that Julia’s progress is such that she no longer needs to stay at a nursing home. This has been a long hard (almost) year and she is finally coming to the end! She does still need assistance with daily activities and she has found a WONDERFUL riverfront assisted living facility that is more like a condo. She will have her own apartment and can come and go as she pleases. Downstairs is a huge fellowship room and dining room, with full menu to choose from. She will be assisted with medications, bathing, cleaning, laundry and meals. They also provide transportation to wherever she needs and lots of planned outings. But she will be able also to come and go as she pleases and can even come spend the night with family for holidays and such. Her anticipated moving date is Dec 10. This is the middle of the week, so we have to see. Meantime I also need to have it furnished and set up before she moves. It has been nearly a year since she left Brandy’s and 8 years since she had her own place. There is a LOT she needs. She is set for most of her needs for setting up the bedroom and bath, but sorely lacking everywhere else. Below is a list of items she is going to need. Please let me know if you have anything you can sell us, or if you know of a good place to get these items CHEAP!!! Hoping to keep to a beachy theme, but it’s not really necessary – at least to start. Your help is appreciated. Julia does not have access to FaceBook and DOES NOT KNOW that I am trying to put this together as a surprise, so that there won’t be much for her to worry about.
