JULY 19: PERSPECTIVE Asking to see as Jesus would see is our sole responsibility. It’s amazing how simple our lives can be if we do what the COURSE suggests. How many times a day do we wring our hands in worry over what action to take? How often do we lash out at a friend or speak rudely to a stranger because we are obsessed with fear about our lives? There would be no stumbling blocks if we’d go to the source of all right answers, all right guidance. But Jesus will wait for us, we are told. If all we have to do is ask Jesus for a better view, why do we struggle so long? It seems crazy to think we like the turmoil, but we can get so used to the agitation that it feels safe. Familiar pain may seem more comfortable than unfamiliar stillness. It behooves us to notice those people in our lives who are serene, who radiate a calm love and acceptance of both the joys and the upheavals in their lives. It’s probable that they have sought the right answer from the right source. We can follow their lead. I WILL ASK TO SEE MY OPTIONS FROM JESUS’ PERSPECTIVE TODAY.
