JUN 25 ARE YOU READY? 2 From a Bible Study of the word things No. 175 - Luke part 19 Shortly before His arrest and crucifixion, Jesus spoke in depth about the future. When the disciples saw Jerusalem surrounded by armies, they should know that its desolation was near. Those in Judea should flee to the mountains, those in the city should leave, and those in the country should not go back for anything. This would be Vengeance Day — everything written about it would come to a head. There would be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which were coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens would be shaken. Many believe these prophecies of Jesus have more than one fulfillment - the final one shortly before His second coming. Therefore we need to be on our guard, not letting our hearts be weighed down with partying, drinking, shopping and such like. Otherwise, that Day is going to take us by complete surprise. Pray constantly that you may be counted worthy to escape all the terrible things spoken of, and to stand before the Son of Man!
